Diagras Property

The Diagras Property (60% owned) consists of 31 contiguous mineral claims encompassing an area of 22,595 hectares. It is located in the prolific Lac de Gras kimberlite field immediately adjacent to the Diavik and Ekati diamond complex operated by Dominion Diamond Mines.

The Property contains 23 known kimberlites which were originally discovered by DeBeers in the 1990's.

Margaret Lake has entered into a joint venture with Arctic Star Exploration (TSX.V: ADD) to systematically explore and develop numerous high-priority kimberlite targets located throughout the property.

Margaret Lake, as manager of the joint venture, believes there is the potential to apply detailed, modern ground geophysical techniques in anticipation of defining additional kimberlite(s) or kimberlite phases that may not have been evaluated in the past.

2017 Exploration

The joint venture implemented a ground geophysical program at Diagras in Spring 2017. Field crews completed ground magnetic, ground gravity and ground electromagnetic (EM) surveys on 11 target areas. The comprehensive survey program (Table 1) was designed to further evaluate areas near known kimberlites as well as explore new target areas that were generated from public domain data.

Table 1. Kimberlite and kimberlite like targets evaluated in the Spring 2017 program.

2018 Exploration Program

The next phase of evaluation at Diagras calls for expanded ground geophysical programs to cover areas proximal to other known, previously defined kimberlites in order to expand the number of drill ready targets. All necessary regulatory approval has been received to proceed with a future drill program at Diagras.
